Poetry: Howard Algeo

cadence.png

Don’t count down in cadence

Or set your memories on a hinge

Gardens are gardens

Because flowers like to congregate

And arms don’t really envelop you

It’s really a striation

A mechanical bliss

I should have told you this sooner

But I just recently realized

The universe is perfect

Despite your sucker punch sundae

With all those toppings
