Introducing Paper Darts Volume Six
A team of women from flyover country created this bag of tricks out of imaginary money and never enough time. Because we also feel the deep urge to grasp onto another human’s experience of the world, even for just a small moment, even for just a small story.
Our beloved reader will find the lives of daughters, sisters, mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. She will fall into small town lives, Native lives, happy lives, Latinx lives, overeducated lives, kid lives, liberal coastal elite lives, Trans lives, goat lives, Black lives, Queer lives, pregnant lives, White lives, rat lives, immigrant lives, bearded lady lives, Muslim lives, sad lives, Asian lives, housewife lives, magic lives, divorced lives, and the life of Eartha Kitt—there was no life quite like hers. All of these lives exist at intersections of what it means to be a complex person in a scary world, where powerful humans try to make themselves supreme by squishing all of those unlike them. We hope that by investing in micro moments of humanity like these, we might just be saved.
