 Paper Darts week in a storefront!

 

 

Paper Darts Magazine, Replacement Press, and Twin Cities boozin'est book club Books & Bars had a week of mayhem at 2441 South Lyndale Avenue, Uptown Minneapolis July 14th - 18th.

 

What We Did:

 

THURSDAY, JULY 15TH 7 PM - 10 PM

 

PAPER DARTS LAUNCH PARTY

 

Yes, it's here, the release of Paper Darts Volume II. Our second print issue with 40 pages of full color madness. ORDER YOUR COPY

 

The night featured readings by MN Fiction on a Stick contributor DOMINIC SAUCEDO, the feisty and fresh local favorite ELIZABETH SOWDEN,  Literary Death Match hero JOHN GORDON, and the guitar strummin' poet D. SYKES.

 

 

Local Art Gallery with art by JENNIFER DAVIS, CARLEYRAE WEBER, ABBE MCGRAY, MATTHEW KUNES, LAURA ANDREWS, Dixon and Tessa Bordiano, and the local comic superstar, MAX MOSE.

 

 

Live music by Twin Cities songwriters THOMAS KIVI and DANIEL ZAMZOW.

 

An informal fashion show by FLOWER CHILD APPAREL.

Following the tweetup, MSP literary superstars SARAH ASKARI, DENNIS CASS, JOHN JODZIO, MAGGIE RYAN SANDFORD and ETHAN RUTHERFORD take the stage for an unmissable night of storytelling mayhem!

SATURDAY, JULY 17, 7-8: INDIE PUBLISHING PANEL
Have you ever dreamed of starting your own publishing company, literary journal, or zine? It's not as tough as you might think. Getting into the publishing biz is easier than ever. Join us as the people behind REPLACEMENT PRESS and PAPER DARTS tell you how they got their ventures off the ground, and field your questions about indie publishing, writing, and anything else you want to ask about.

SATURDAY, JULY 17, 8-10: FLASH FICTION IMPROV

Bringing this week of artistic and literary hijinks to a close is an event unlike any we've attempted before: an improv literary contest! A handful of Twin Cities writers/improv-ers will be given a prompt, then compose a piece of flash fiction on the spot and compete for your laughter and applause. There will also be live music by local band WE BECAME ACTORS.
